Arimidex (Anastrozole): An oral antiestrogen. Anastrozole inhibits the enzyme aromatase in the adrenal glands that produces the estrogens (estradiol and estrone) and thereby lowers their levels. Some pepole also use Arimidex to reduce and prevent symptoms of excess estrogens; in particular, gynecomastia and water retention.

Clomid (Clomiphene): Used to treat infertility. Clomifene is sometimes used to bind the estrogen receptors in their bodies, thereby blocking the effects of estrogen, i.e., gynecomastia. Clomid also restores the body's natural production of testosterone.

Proscar (Finasteride): Prostate gland enlargement (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or BPH), is directly dependent on DHT (a hormone converted from the male hormone testosterone). Finasteride inhibits the enzyme necessary for the conversion of testosterone to DHT in the prostate.

Pregnyl (hCG): Human chorionic gonadotropin, a human hormone made by chorionic cells in the fetal part of the placenta. Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is directed at the gonads and stimulates them. Hence, the name "gonadotropin". In males, hCG helps restore and maintain testosterone production in the testes by mimicking LH and triggering the production and release of testosterone.

Accutane (Isotretinoin): Isotretinoin is an oral drug used for the treatment and prevention of severe acne. Acne is caused by inflammation of the skin. It primarily affects teenagers, but it also affects adults.

Proviron (Mesterlone): Proviron balances a deficiency of male sex hormones (androgen) formation, which begin to fall gradually with increasing age. Proviron is used to treat a condition called hypogonadism.

Nolvadex (Tamoxifen): An oral antiestrogen (blocks the effect of estrogen on tissue). Nolvadex is used in patients for treating and preventing breast cancer. In men, Tamoxifen is sometimes used to treat gynecomastia that arises for example as a side effect of antiandrogen prostate cancer treatment.

Retin-A (Tretinoin): Tretinoin is the acid form of vitamin A and so also known as all-trans retinoic acid or ATRA. Tretinoin is a drug commonly used to treat acne vulgaris and keratosis pilaris.
